Harare, Zimbabwe was a beautiful city in the 1980s. Here are some views from the kopje.
The jacaranda trees (above) coloured the city in the spring. Flamboyant, bauhinia and flame trees also added colour.
This view overlooks the old part of town near the train tracks.

Beautiful view! When was the last time you visited? Any plans of going back in the near future?
The last time I was back in Zimbabwe was in 2001 or 2002. I'd love to go back, but don't see any way I can afford it. I'm not sure I could stand the depression of seeing what has happened in the last 10 years. But I wish I could help rebuild what was once a great country. Sigh.
